Optos Retinal Photography Services

We use a computer-integrated digital imaging system to record a clear image of the retina in order to take high-resolution pictures within the eye. Photo-documentation is painless because nothing hits the eye. This digital picture serves as an excellent point of reference in the future. Diabetic changes, hypertensive retinopathy, macular degeneration, optic nerve disease, and retinal holes or thinning can all be detected and managed with retinal photography. This examination is something we recommend to all of our patients. People with a history of high blood pressure, diabetes, retinal disorders, flashing lights, floaters, headaches, or a heavy glasses prescription should take extra precautions.

Additional Facts On Digital Retinal Photography

The Optomap, the most recent advancement in retinal imaging, is now available. It's painless, fast, and the doctors' preferred method of assessing your eye's health. This device will improve our ability to diagnose and monitor retinal defects linked to common systemic diseases including hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, and thyroid issues. The retina can be digitally imaged using this method.
